SKETCHING & IDEATION
Early ideation for Tress was guided by three core principles: a seamless, integrated design that fully conceals the hair tie; a sense of subtle delight in discovering its hidden functionality, and celebrating personal style.
I started by sketching out multiple forms and thinking about functionality.

CAD PROTOTYPING
After I had a good sense of the shape and and design, I used Fusion360 to create the general shape of the bracelet and 3D printed it.

BRAND GUIDELINES
Finally, I created rudimentary brand guidelines for TRESS. Although I won’t productize and sell this, I wanted to practice creating a brand from start to finish and conceptualizing everything from production to identity.
